Ms. Hilliard is an Executive Coach, change practitioner, and leadership trainer. She leverages her background as a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA), Marshall Goldsmith Certified Stakeholder Centered Coach (SCC), and International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) to provide leadership coaching, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion design and delivery, and change management services. She has 30+ years of combined active duty service and Federal government experience that extends across financial management, leadership, organizational development, and learning strategy.
Ms. Hilliard is the Founder and CEO of Tru2YouCoaching LLC., a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides executive and leadership coaching, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training, and change management services for Fortune 500 companies, military and government organizations, as well as non-profits. She partners with organizations to deliver transformative processes to help shift levels of awareness and leadership ability using a customized evidence-based approach. Her mission is to help individuals maximize their potential by challenging their mindset and focusing their desire to exceed.
Before devoting her full time work toTru2YouCoaching, Ms. Hilliard successfully transitioned from the military to civil service, which uniquely positioned her for professional coaching. Her extensive background in Federal Financial Management included over 20+ years working in areas such as: financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, risk and internal controls, and strategic leadership for both financial and Command organizational development programs. She used her collaborative leadership style and facilitation approach at her organization driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives for individual development, team building, and conflict resolution workshops to help foster an inclusive workplace culture. She was assigned to the Office of Strategy and Innovation, Department Under Secretary of the Navy (DUSN) Pentagon, where she developed talent management policies and strategies for the Navy’s workforce covering over 10,000 personnel that included: Enriching the Culture, Implementing Relevant Learning Programs, and Further Developing Critical Thinking Skills. She also graduated from her Command’s Leadership Development Program and was recognized by the Captain for her efforts in facilitating leadership workshops.
As a member of the Federal Coach Network, Ms. Hilliard provided executive and leadership development coaching to participants in the DOD Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP), the DOD Defense Civilian Emerging Leader Program (DCELP), and the Federal Internal Coach Training Program (FICTP). In addition, she leveraged her unique experience to focus on two coaching specialties. The first specialty, Transition Coaching for Veterans, included developing strategies for immediate and confident action for veterans shifting to the civilian workforce. Her other specialty, Personal Results Coaching for young professionals to successfully transition within the Federal government, included proven strategies and techniques with an emphasis on leadership development, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. In addition, she served over 10 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy.
